What would you recommend to anglers fishing in Fernandina Beach, Florida for the first time?

2 hour trip is perfect if you have little one, but for older kids to teens 2 hours may not be long enough.

Take a short trip to get the lay of the land, and if fish are biting and seas are calm, go for a longer trip

Hot days, so bring plenty of water and snacks. Anything to keep cool. Also sunscreen and chapstick.

Excellent captain and excellent teacher. Patient and great at explaining to novices. Good natured and pleasant all around good guy.

We have done 3 trips via Fishing Booker and caught different fish every time. Every trip has be fun and even the trash fish such as shark and sting ray will keep you entertained.

We went out knowing it is the coldest time for water temperature in the area. Which means fish are not as plentiful. We did catch and release. The afternoon excursion was worth the time.

Depending on the time of year weather can be an issue. We went during the winter just before a front came through. The next day would have been a difficult fish with high wind and waves.

Mild weather, lots of different species of fish, lots of different areas like jetties, flats, creeks, etc.

You need to know that there is only a 5 day fishing window for red snapper. If you aren't in that window then you will not get to keep your snapper you catch.

Don’t come with expectations, different fish hit at different times and seasons. We caught fish and had a great time but just not what we were expecting keep that in mind!

The water was a it choppy in some areas, but that was due the remains of a storm I believe.
