Contact the captain well before your trip to get realistic expectations of your trip. Don't rely on the shows you see on TV especially if it is your first time out and with kids. That way things will be enjoyable for everybody.

Jeffrey Jones
Set back and enjoy the ride out. Be prepared for some tired arms. Reeling those big fish in one after the other will leave you exhausted. Captain Watson has one of the best attitudes. Very professional. You won’t be disappointed!!!

Dependent on your experience, Fishing qualities I wouldn’t go to Little River unless I knew upfront what can be caught what can be kept and what we are fishing for what we would like to fish for even though I knew what I wanted to do when I got there everything was out of season and I came to River for the past 17 years 18 years. Everything was in season Have changed and this need to be shared with public or possible angles in the future

Definitely research the charter Captain and be specific to what your style of fishing is. Ask about fishing tackle and equipment. Do they use a power pole and an anchor lock trolling motor, types of rods and lures and or bait. Ask how they work through locating target fish, especially when they are hard to find. There is a reason charters cost a lot of money, it's supposed to be because your Captain knows how to bring home fish and if he doesn't, you're getting took.

What a great experience! Our grandson caught just about every fish and he couldn’t have had more fun! Capt J was so great! He took care of our needs and was able to adapt the trip to our enjoyment! Leah, his 1st Mate, was so helpful! They were both incredible! We would definitely recommend the trip to others and will be sure to call on him again when we return to Myrtle Beach! A definite 5-star trip!!!

Make sure the captain is fair and truthful that will give you the trip you paid for and take you out to where you payed to fish. Make sure the boat has everything you require for your trip. Learn the boat rules and enjoy. Little River area has so many places to catch your target fish. Check with the news as to what fish are active in given months I would recommend fishing Little River but only with a honest captain that will give you the trip of a lifetime that you paid for. It was just a shame that we did not get the trip we paid @,200.00 total for a 13 hour boat trip and only 2 hours of fishing time.

Two in our group were experienced Lake fishers, I am a total novice and I was complete comfortable. Captain Mike will help you and you can do as much or little as you are comfortable with. Definitely recommend this charter.

It can be a bit rough on the way out tk the ocean on certain days. I'm out on my bass boat all the time so I don't get motion sickness but some people might. Id advise to get some dramamine or some sort of motion sickness medication if you've never been in rough water before

John Phillips
Be ready for most anything. The Capt. and crew will work hard for you, but remember it is called fishing not catching. They can only produce what is available to be caught on any given day.

Jonathan Smith
Not the greatest time of year for game fish, but shark fishing is consistently good through the summer. Book a boat that trolls for live bait.

John Budde
Maybe bring a long sleeve shirt for the morning even in May, June, July, and August.

Dan Teter
Not every trip sees amazing fishing, but we did catch fish and the experience was fun for all ages.

Ruthann Long
Pee before going. Lol
October bring layers clothing. Starts cold and ends quite warm.
Bevan is a wonderful, hard working man who truly loves what he does.

Jeff Jenkins
We fished just offshore of Little River and had success with mackerel and Atlantic sharp nose shark. Plenty of boats fishing (and catching) - showing that the area has plenty of fish.

Alfred Bury
Bring water and food. Let the captian do his job. Make sure to tip your captian, if you never been out on ocean take dramamine so you don't get sick. Relax and enjoy !

Talk with your captain about the weather for the day of ur trip and a few days prior, ask them if they think u will have good odds of catching fish or if you should postpone

We didn’t catch a lot of keepers but that wasn’t important to us. We caught a lot of black bass. We just wanted to catch fish. We did!

Tate Rush
As before, water was very hot so we were limited on the different fish species to catch at this time of year. State regulations did not allow us to keep any of our catch.

Konrad Wilder
Early is on time and on time is late! Ensure you communicate with your captain through the app ahead of time. Our captain returned all messages promptly and professionally

Rick Crook
Go on a head boat if you want to catch a variety of fish. The only thing you will catch is a shark on these small boats !

Kathy Eason
Take something for seasickness before going. Experienced that myself a little before the end of trip. Otherwise it was a fantastic day of fishing.

Danny Thompson
Like all fishing you’re at the mercy of Mother Nature.. the better the weather typically the better the fishing..

Ask the Captain what is biting and take recommendations on your trip to catch fish. Every area is unique to catch certain species at certain times.

3.5 stars is more accurate. Would have been 5 stars if we would have actually been put on fish and been able to catch more than 4 fish in 8 hours. The crew was friendly and the boat was clean.

EDGAR BEAUDIN
Bring your camera and cooler, relax and have a wonderful adventure. Randy and Ben will take care of the rest and hopefully the fish will cooperate.

Check your weather report to make sure the seas are not going to be too choppy. Also, make sure that you're not in a transition season for the fish.

Book as soon as you can, and talk with your Captain. If it is your first time out on a charter they can provide you with the best information possible for your trip.

Talk with the captain prior to departure. He was very responsive and answered all my questions ahead of time.

If you’re thinking about taking the half day or 3/4 day, go with the next longer trip. It’s worth it.
