Don’t go fishing in the ocean with expectations of catching a trophy…but you never know! Try everything your guide suggests (they know what they’re doing and WHEN to do it), and enjoy the ride. Maybe don’t watch Jaws the night before like we did.

Salty Fishing Charters has a great boat to fish from. Like all fishing, it’s best to go early in the morning. Put on some suntan lotion before you go. A hat and sunglasses are a must. Bring a soft sided small cooler with drinks and a small snack.

Be patient. That's key when you're fishing. Also try to understand that some days they bite and some days they don't and that's a part of the game. However we caught a lot of fish when we went and I hope you do too ?

July is pretty hot here and pop up storms are the norm, so weather might alter your plans, especially if you’re going out on a charter. The fish are there, but just know that all kinds of factors (weather, tides, bait availability, etc.) are going to determine where, when, and how long you’re at a particular spot and what you’re trying to catch.

Fishing was good but it is slow in August. However you should watch the seasons etc. we had a great time regardless

We usually fish the Keys and have never fished the ICW before. With that said, I wish you the best and tight lines.

Any trip can catch lots of fish to very few bites, but a bad day of fishing and being on the water is better than a lot of other things, so enjoy your day regardless.

The half day trip is perfect for first timers. The morning trip will avoid the hot July sun and sea breezes that arrive in the pm.

It's called fishing, not catching. Can't always know what's gonna be biting, but it's the memories you make along the way that makes it worth while.

The weather is beautiful and not too hot in mid June. We used to come here in late July, not any more. Book your charter early, the good ones go fast.

Do whatever the captain recommends. They know where and how to put fish in the boat.

Get an experienced guide/Capt. I also liked being asked if we wanted to fish for sport or food.

If it's raining and windy, don't go. Even the people fishing from the pier caught very little.
