What would you recommend to anglers fishing in Port St. Joe, Florida for the first time?

Highly recommend Jason and Chasing Dreams charter. Very professional, polite, and a hard working captain. We caught fish all day and once he located the species we were looking for we quickly caught the boat limit. Great day on the water.

This was our Christmas vacation. It was stormy the first part of the trip but weather turned perfect last several days. I was a little worried about the fishing but Keven knew his stuff and had our drag screaming before we knew it.

Don’t set your expectations too high. At the end of the day fishing is fishing. A good Captain will do his best and the rest is up to the fish. Sometimes they just won’t bite and other times it’s game on

For us mid September weather was perfect! It was warm outside and the water was pleasantly refreshing but not too cold!

Definitely. Go earlier in the season if you want a lot of scallops. But if you just enjoy the hunt September is a good time to go

According to our captain, the toughest months are June July and August. He helped us catch fish but recommended a different time of year.

Capt Tim did everything he could control. The water was 89 degrees in the bay and the weather prevented us from going further out.

Start checking the weather as far ahead as you can. Even though our trip wasn't the most ideal weather, sometimes you have to take a chance, and this time it paid off (mostly due to Capt. Charles).

Captain Chris is a great guide for families. He was polite, very helpful, great with our 2 teenagers. The trip was above expectations.

We had such a great time with Capt Jason. He was a patient and capable teacher to my young son who dominated the catch for the day. An amazing day… don’t miss this trip.

Fish port st joe not indian pass. Fish for mango snapper and red fish an trout an flounder. Use live pin fish.

Pack lots of sunscreen and water. If your not a hardcore angler the more comfortable you are out on the water the easier it is to stay out there and find the fish.

There’s salt water catfish that are venomous, so watch out if you catch one. Otherwise you’ll have the opportunity to catch everything the Gulph has to offer!

Weather was very cold which made fishing conditions less than ideal but we were able to catch plenty of fish anyways.

Tell the captain what you are looking for and want to catch. Captain Andy put us on the fish we was looking for.

A bit early in the season which limited our catch. However, we had clear skies, warm days and cool nights to enjoy. Perfect weather to relax and recharge.

We had only one day to fish and it was cloudy and windy but we still had a blast.

Go during the spring or during scallop season for sure otherwise the water gets hot fast

Sun screen ... polarized glasses. Depends on the time of year you might want a jacket.

Go out early in the morning it’s hot fish stopped biting good once it got super hot

We went in the morning, nice breeze, the sun wasn't too bad. Very enjoyable fishing!
