On a trip as short as a couple of hours, you can discover the wealth of fish on offer in the Santa Rosa Sound or Pensacola Bay. Some anglers choose to spend a full day here, with the prize of “Bull” Redfish and “Gator” Spotted Seatrout on offer year-round. Flounder and Sheepshead make for a delicious supporting cast. But, time your trip right, and you could go after Tarpon, Pompano, and Bluefish, as well.
 
If you’re looking for a Gulf-side trip, then nothing compares to Red Snapper season here. Come in summer and get your hands on this elusive fish on the reefs, along with plenty of Gag Grouper, Cobia, Amberjack, Kingfish, and Triggerfish. The most popular trips to these hunting grounds last around 6 hours, but you can spend longer on the water to make the most of it. 
 
Finally, the offshore fishing in Pensacola Beach is something to behold. Around 25 miles offshore, you’ll come across some even bigger versions of the species you’ll find nearshore. Personally, I recommend a good long sleeve UV resistant shirt, SPF 70 sunscreen for your face and neck, and hydrate well the day before. And, be prepared for a workout! Fish that swim in ocean currents are a lot stronger than anything I’ve ever caught in fresh water.

Very hot, be prepared. The guide/captain has great experience; don't try to snow him with your own knowledge of the activity. Listen and pay attention -- you'll absolutely learn some things you never knew and you may be able to catch a few fish as well!

Gotta say, the captain and first mate were great. I would absolutely recommend Capt Alex to anyone looking to catch fish and have a good time, 8hrs flew by…. Every structure we stopped at had fish!!!! We had a group of 4 larger men and comfortably on his boat, Capt Alex has a great sence of humor and makes it feel like fishing with friends.

Went out with my son in the bay and caught several different species of fish! Red snapper, Spanish Mackerel, flounder, lane snapper, squirrel fish, toad fish hooked into a shark that ran with the line 100 yards before he straightened the 2 treble hooks! We have already planned a 2nd day of fishing with Captain Justin and are very excited to see what he has up his sleeve next!

Had a great time with Captain Joseph. Our two boys both caught an amber jack (40-50lbs each) along with red snapper and others. The boys talked about the trip all day long and are already planning the next one. Great experience!

We booked a 6 hour private trip. Everyone was catching fish, everyone had a good time. Cpt Morgan was very attentive, staying on top of who needed fresh bait or fish taken off etc. Most importantly, he was on top of the weather, suggesting we cut the trip short just a little bit to beat a storm. Man am I glad we did too! We got back to the dock ten minutes before it started pouring for a few hours. That would’ve sucked to have been on the boat for that. We appreciated the heads up!

We enjoyed a day of fishing while working around rain showers! Captain Dewberry was able to put us on fish throughout the trip. The limits were not met but we caught plenty of fish (catch and release) but had a great time. Thank you Rob Favrot

The captain worked hard the entire time we were out to make sure we caught fish. We didn't catch anything really big, but we had a good time and we were able to bring some fish home. We did hook a couple of bigger fish,, but weren't able to get them in. That's why they call it fishing instead of catching. Thanks for a good time!

The fishing was slow our trip but the captain made every effort to get us on some fish. As a father fishing with his son, I was grateful that he kept a close on the weather and was attentive when one of us got a little sea sick. A tough day fishing is better than a good day working.
