Alaska Halibut Fishing Charters

This trip will use 2 hours of the time traveling to and from the Halibut holes located in the Southern area of Lynn Cannel. Halibut regulations require that you only keep one fish less than 44 inches or over 80 inches. Once all fishermen have their one Halibut they want to keep, you will fish for Salmon or Rockfish. The Halibut do not arrive in the Juneau area until June 15. This is not an exclusive charter. The 5% sales tax applies to the amount of remaining balance on the day of the trip.

You'll be wading (no boat). Salmon fishing in Seward is very unique. We snag Salmon, and the first cast guides do it by seeing the fish, then casting. It's almost like hunting but with a pole. It can be very intense when you're looking for King Salmon and then you see some monsters headed your way. Then it's up to you to snag one, fight it to a rugged beach and land it. This 4-hour trip is seasonal.

Up to 4 hours of fishing for Halibut and other bottom fish. Frequently we will catch Pacific Cod, Black Cod, Rockfish and Lingcod

Our 5-Hour Halibut Charter is designed to fish for and catch Alaskan Halibut. We typically do not fish for other species on this charter. If you have Halibut on your bucket list, this trip is perfect for you! We do catch many other bottom fish species while Halibut fishing. Some may be kept, others must be released. This is the perfect trip for guests on cruise ships as most can accommodate a 5-hour charter. **OUR CHARTERS DEPART BASED ON YOUR CRUISE SHIP'S ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE TIME.

Having the full day range, we are able to get out to more productive grounds as we target King Salmon, Coho Salmon, Pink Salmon, Ling Cod, Black Sea bass, Pacific cod and Black cod. While the fish count is greater on these charters we often see more wildlife along the way as well including Humpback whales and Porpoises. I highly recommend this charter as i strive to make it memorable and abundant with the catch. Fish Processing is offered at the dock we depart from and we also offer lodging if needed.

4-hour Halibut fishing is a great choice for guests with limited time like cruise ship passengers. Departure times are available as early as 6 am. Actual trip departure time depends on your schedule.
