Canada Rockfish Fishing Charters

While many species of fish such as Lingcod and other species of ground fish (rock cod) are closed during this time, the Chinook Fishery remains open. Catch limit is 2 per angler. The trip price includes taxes.

It doesn't offer plenty of time to do the most we can, but in the past, we have been able to tub out on Salmon, Rockfish, and Lingcod in 4 hours for 2-3 people. We'll stay inshore and close, so we can do all the fishing we can within that time frame. We can target everything during this time or specific species, depending on what you want.

This charter is focused to give children (6 to 12 year old) the experience of hooking up to saltwater fish spieces. Must be accompanied by parent or guardian. Our fishing grounds are within 30 minutes from Campbell River. Guest will fish favourable tides for the best opportunities for tight lines. Note: Beginning April 1 - July 14 non-retention of Chinook salmon is in effect.

Rockfish and Lingcod season in Sooke is open from May 1st until September 30th. Jigging for Rock cod and Ling cod is a hands-on fishery. Some people enjoy jigging for cod over trolling for salmon. If this is you, get your group together and come aboard. 'Raven' is the perfect platform for cod jigging. We'll throw the crab traps out on the way out and pull them upon our return.

This 8 hr charter over at the Gulf Islands near Nanaimo where we will target Rockfish, Lingcod and Salmon. The trip requires an additional 1.5hr travel time for crossing Georgia Straight.
