    (4 Hour Trip)

    Awesome Trip!

This was a birthday gift to my 15 year old twins and they went with their uncle. We are visiting from Seattle and my boys were looking forward to catching fish we don't have in Washington. Captain Tanner delivered! They had such a great time and caught a ton of fish. We had the biggest fresh fish lunch after. Thank you, Captain Tanner!

    Terrific Father/Son day fishing

Captain Christina was awesome. We opted for a 2-hour morning insland fishing trip. CC had us on the fish in no time. my dad andni had the boat to ourselves. We caught 3-4 different species. CC filleted our Mangrove Snapper at the dock. We took them to Pincher’s for lunch. Fish doesnt get much fresher than that! Two thumbs up for Captain Christina. Highly recommend!

Mangrove Snapper fishing is a favorite for inshore anglers who want steady action and great sport. Also called Gray Snapper, this quick, hard-hitting fish lives around mangroves, docks, reefs, and wrecks. It bites smart, fights above its weight, and makes a fine meal, which is why so many anglers target it.

You can catch Mangrove Snapper while inshore fishing or near reefs and wrecks. Bottom fishing works well, as you drop baits to the fish near structure. Live shrimp, small bait fish, and cut bait are top choices. Light spinning tackle keeps the fight fun and precise. Use a fluorocarbon leader, which is a short, clear, abrasion-resistant line that hides your bait and protects against sharp edges. Small hooks and accurate casts close to cover are key.

Expect fast bites and lively runs, especially around moving tides and shade lines. Fish are often modest in size, but larger Snapper hold tight to deeper structure. This is a great trip for first-timers, kids, and seasoned anglers alike. Wear sun protection and non-slip shoes, and bring polarized sunglasses to spot fishy structure. Your captain or guide will usually supply tackle and bait, but ask ahead so you know what to bring.

Before you go, check local rules for Mangrove Snapper fishing. Confirm license or permit needs, open seasons, and any harvest limits. Regulations can change by area, and special rules may apply around certain structures or habitats. When in doubt, your captain can explain current rules and best practices.
