Understand the variety that you are likely to catch given the length of your trip. Kings and Barracuda were fun to catch but are not my favorite fish to eat!

Plenty of charters available with experienced captains and Florida waters have some of the best fishing in the world!

Be mindful of the tides and winds. The tides swing 5+ feet four times a day and that is a WHOLE LOT of water constantly moving

Based on my single trip and experience to this area, yes I would recommend my fishing Captain Robert "Robbie" Bishop!

Be patient when setting your hook, some fish you just have to let them go with it a pick up and real instead of snatching

The type of fishing we did was backwater with a depth from 3ft to 20ft. The fishing in the backwater was better than expected. So, yes I would recommend fishing in Jacksonville.

Make sure you have a helper. When they get to biting, it can be one after another. Always good to be able to keep up.

Choose to book captain daves and remember to put on sunscreen. No matter the top situation, the water still reflects that light.

Kevin Brown
Bring a jacket or a hoodie
It’s cooler on the water and there was a strong breeze

Gerald Jones
Book your trip with Captain Dennis. It will be a great experience! He and his boat are first class!

Michael Mathews
Remember it is hot out there on the water dress appropriately and stay hydrated

Brandon Faris
I would definitely recommend this for anyone that’s fishing for the first time!

Richard Creal
Stay inland for the first time. You will have a blast and will check out your sea legs.

Cooler weather makes it a little tougher fishing, however we warmed up quick when the bite was on.

Jonathan Morgan
November weather is unpredictable so be flexible and you will have a great time.

Ellen Wilson
Bring sunglasses, bottled waters, maybe a small beach towel. That’s all you need.

It can be good boat ride to location but once you're there, the experience will be awesome.

Just go for the experience, or pick a time or season where you know the fish are biting.
