What would you recommend to anglers fishing in Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco for the first time?

The whole day was one of my favorite adventures of all time, it was simply wonderful!

Was a great experience not the Mahi Mahi season but was still great!! Got mostly Yellow Tail

You will need strength and endurance to reel in these Puerto Vallarta Amberjacks

Despite the best crew some days you get nothing or just a couple of fish. That is fishing.

Look for boat that has plenty of horse power on engine and modern fishing equipment

We fished for Bonita and Spanish mackerel, Bonita was on fire Mackerel was just a few

The sunrise and views of the mountains are awesome. Saw whales and dolphins

If you’re targeting big game, understand this is fishing and there can never be guarantees.

Check and see when the fish you want are running .I caught a lot of Bonita so still worth the trip

Go for at least 6 hrs after January 1st In November 4 hrs in the bay would be fine.

Do your homework on a good boat and crew to go out with. It makes all the difference.

I think April might be a little late in the year as fishing was very slow for us...

Book a longer trip so you can go out farther. Dress warm in layers if your going early

Don't get disappointed if it's slow. Seen enough whales to make it worth while.

Spend the money and go out for at least a half day. Anything less than that is a waste.

Get a boat that will at least allow you to tag and release or share in the catch

White meat bonita is the best sashimi in the ocean. Also makes best ceviche. Go get them!

Go for as long as you can. It’s worth every penny. And wear sunscreen. I’m fried

Not the season for Mahi or Tuna, but was great season for Marlin, lots of them out on the water, not the biggest, but fantastic eating when they are smaller. I would recommend it!
