What would you recommend to anglers fishing in Rockport, Texas for the first time?

Pick and choose your captain carefully, Captain John is a "keeper " and a very safe boat captain ,everything was provided for me , let's fish !

Yes I would recommend Rockport. Just maybe pick early spring or fall if its your first time. I have fished Rockport for almost 40 years now so I kinda know what to expect for the time of year.

Be prepared for south TX weather! It could be freezing with the wind on the boat one minute and the next you're burning up.

You have to have a guide for much of a chance to catch fish. Difficult and limited fishing only from shore.
