Stay calm, I know you have a big expectations because maybe you paid a lot. Give the Capt a chance to work his magic, because everyday is not the same, they have to adjust to everything that the day is giving at the moment. Once they figure it out, promise you'll have a blast!

2 of 3 guides were amazing. The last one was the worst guide I have seen in my entire life. Don’t use Texas coastal adventures. Guy showed up with dead bait. No info and was just fishing for himself. Rods were junk. Gear was junk.

Victoria Carpenter
Make sure to contact your captain before you book a trip. Ask questions about what fish are biting and explain what type of fish you are wanting to focus on. This helps your guide know what bait and tackle to take.

I highly recommend coming here around this time of year. You always here “ we went out but didn’t catch anything”. Well that wasn’t the case here. We caught fish the entire time we were here and got to take back enough food for a large fish fry. We will definitely be back.

Camille Graham
Don’t expect to catch a pile of fish this time of year. Too many constant changing factors, from moon to tide and temperature

Easton Seehasen
Try out a charter service. Charter captains have a lot of great knowledge and you’re putting money back into a great community that welcomes you everytime. And grab some lunch on the way out!

Christopher Butler
Bull reds were on the run, we fish the week of Thanksgiving every year, and it's almost always great!

James White
We were able to limit out on reds but no on anything else. But the weather was great for an afternoon trip out

Kris McKnight
Stay at “The Inn at Clark’s” (aka The O’Connor Inn) for a very convenient start and finish of your day.

Robert Hopper
Great place to launch your boat or take part on a fishing charter! Recommend Second To None fishing charters with Captain Joshua!!!!

Pay close attention to the type of boat the guide has. you want a flat boat if you are fishing in the grassy areas in the bay

We’ve had other successful trips to Port O’Connor. It’s not a place to fish from the shore or pier. Be prepared to wade fish or go out in a boat. We enjoy the area.

Go fishing with Keith Gregory’s Guide Service and you will have a great time because he knows some great spots to fish and you will have every opportunity to catch the Red fish.

August is the worst month! We were up against a full moon and an out going tide the night before derailed us.

We caught a large amount of mangro snapper and used live shrimp amongst other forms of bait. The shrimp was one of the easiest for the kids to bait themselves

Be prepared for an awesome and exciting experienced with this company. The captain is very friendly, fun to fish with. We really enjoyed his excellent of service.

Overall fishing in Port O'Connor is very successful. But please be careful if you bring your own boat, the topo maps on most GPSS are off. The last hurricane really change the area.

Port O'Connor has a unique Bay system that have many areas to fish. Book a room a Poco Loco Lodge ; nice place.

Be ready for some cooler weather than you think, but fishing in Port O'Connor on a crappy day is better than fishing anywhere else!

Don’t hesitate to text your Capt. with questions. Our guide was extremely responsive.

Hector Lozano
Bring a sharpie and label your fish if you get them filet’d at the fishing center.

Gabriel Zimmerman
Love it. It is just a small fishing village, and that is exactly what we wanted.

Be aware that this is a fishing town. Not much else to do and restaurants are limited.

Go on the trip well rested. Don't forget your sunglasses and take a few extra pair.

Try to time your trip around good weather. When the conditions are right, it can be great.
