Port O'Connor is a very small town with limited stores and resources and only a few places to eat that operate at their own hours the next closest town that has a larger variety of things is about 30-35 minutes away so just be prepared for that

Overall fishing in Port O'Connor is very successful. But please be careful if you bring your own boat, the topo maps on most GPSS are off. The last hurricane really change the area.

Be ready for some cooler weather than you think, but fishing in Port O'Connor on a crappy day is better than fishing anywhere else!

Try to time your trip around good weather. When the conditions are right, it can be great.

We didn't limit out but caught some fish, conditions were good- nice weather, but fishing was lazy- mainly had to use artificial vs live bait. The shrimp were a bit soft and hard to keep on the hook.

You need a guide that knows where to fish and wade fishing is a must if you want to catch your limit of trout.
