What would you recommend to anglers fishing in Biloxi, Mississippi for the first time?

Due to the high winds, we wasn't able to go Snapper fishing but Captain Brandon and Brandon made sure we caught fish. Highly recommend Shearwater. This was our 5th trip and we are planning a 6th trip with Captain Brandon and the Shearwater...

Offshore in a boat this small is not for a newbie. We had two newbie friends with us and they are proud of the bragging rights they earned. Definitely a trip for fishermen who will brave rough conditions to get the best memories and fish. If ins one. You will have many tales to tell. PS- one of our newbies caught the biggest Red Snapper

Go here with an open mind in the spring. Fish are moving through but nothing is a guarantee. Enjoy the experience and trust the captain.

Yes. There is fishing for levels of experience. The Biloxi, Gautier, and all of the gulf area has great fishing.

Enjoy lots of fish but none real big. Fishing in the brackish water was an adventure, and we never knew what we were going to pull up.

I can't think of anything they would need, except for something to drink and a sandwich if your on the water all day.

Get out early in AM and Take your fresh catch straight to Steve's Marina Restaurant... where they will cook it up for you in a variety of ways...for a fresh fish dinning experience like no other!

Even though we did not catch any keepable fish, we had so much fun. Captain Mark was knowledgable and helpful. Great time was had by all.

Great area to fish for a wide variety of fish in shore or off shore. Check what fish are in season when you plan on visiting then pick your charter based on that.

Have reasonable expectations wherever you fish. It's called fishing, not catching. We caught plenty!

We had an awesome deep sea fishing experience. Captain Terry Boyd is extremely knowledgeable and ensured we had a stress free adventure. We will definitely return next year.

Know what you want to catch and the experience you are wanting and explain that to your charter before going out on water or even at time of booking.

Watch the flood levels on the Mississippi. This year record floods have dumped tons of fresh water in the bays and it has affected fishing

This time of year you are trolling the entire time with lures not live bait. Cornell’s when you catch them are fun but wear you out after two fights

Go with a recommended Captain and boat stay hydrated and leave the attitude and stresses of life on shore

In April... check the wind and temperature forecast before booking! A cold windy day would make this experience tough and on the opposite side of relaxing!

There are definitely a lot of fish in Biloxi. You definitely want be disappointed in fish here.
