If you're looking to have the experience of a lifetime and catch some take home trophy fish I would highly recommend Tuna Express Charters. Captain Clint Olsen and deckhand Tomas Pojer have extensive knowledge in all things fish related. You won't be let down.

It seems near shore fishing would be a better choice than in shore. In shore options appear more limited and less productive -- perhaps they are over fished. There is a lot of structure available with the bridge piles and a jetty but not much else. The best action appears to be at the islands which are not too far away.

Yes. Tell captain leo that i will be back to book with him again. I booked this trip for my mother birthday and mother day gift. And captain Leo went above and beyond to make her trip good. Thanks captain Leo.

We had an awesome deep sea fishing experience. Captain Terry Boyd is extremely knowledgeable and ensured we had a stress free adventure. We will definitely return next year.

Know what you want to catch and the experience you are wanting and explain that to your charter before going out on water or even at time of booking.

Watch the flood levels on the Mississippi. This year record floods have dumped tons of fresh water in the bays and it has affected fishing

This time of year you are trolling the entire time with lures not live bait. Cornell’s when you catch them are fun but wear you out after two fights

In April... check the wind and temperature forecast before booking! A cold windy day would make this experience tough and on the opposite side of relaxing!

Look for captains that have red snapper license and will troll or bottom fish. Ask what the price is for going in early
