If fishing in the morning bring a jacket as it might be a bit cool. Make sure to confirm if your charter boat has a toilet. Ours listed as it did, but did not. Just made sure everyone went before leaving the dock…especially the ladies.

Get a great captain and first mate like we did! They made it so easy and the fish just kept coming in! How they fished (all the lines and trawling techniques)was as interesting as fishing itself! Of course nothing beats catching the fish and that just happened one after another.

I would check you weather report. The fish are out there you just have to be patient and find them but when you do it's on. Fish cleaning business will meet you at the dock, they do a great job at a good price. Nice area with friendly people and good restaurants.

Expect better perch fishing & trophy sized walleye in early spring or in fall.. However, the walleye fishing is usually good the entire season depending on the weather... When the lake has been turbulent from storms it's best to wait for a couple days of stable calm water before heading out to fish.

Always take a light jacket or hoodie along as it can be cool in the morning on the water. Water, a sandwich or snacks, sunscreen, a hat are important as well. Most of all, enjoy your day of fishing and making memories

The fish this trip weren't cooperating. I've fished Erie before and hammered them. That's fishin' What makes a good trip isn't always limits and full stringers. It's spending time with good people and our loved ones. I'll be back Erie!!!

I recommend to ask for captain Mike the boat tail chaser. He’s very professional excellent fisherman and he knows what the hell he’s doing. I would go with Mike again and again. Thanks, Mike. Sincerely Jen Blackwood.

We actually went out of Sandusky The fishing results came in waves, frequent catch then hours with nothing.
I guess that's why they call it fishing , not catching. I want to stress that Ricky was will to stay out as long as needed to catch our limit. No arbitrary 6 hour rule.

Walleye are tough to catch in August and September due to the water temps. May, June, July they were limiting out.

I think we lucked out catching a good amount during the warm weather. Sounds like it's more consistent when weather is a little cooler.

Captain Lloyd is a great guy! He will get you to the fish. He doesn’t just sit in one spot all day.
Walter Dickson
Always be prepared for inclement weather. Bring your rain gear even if it is sunny. The weather changes quickly and it will not be fun if you are wet and cold.

Be prepared to put up with the weather. Make sure you bring along warm clothes no matter what. You can always take things off.

Be open minded to a variety of weather conditions and be prepared for any. If your not sure of how you will handle a boat in rougher water - take your Dramamine!!!

Research your guide if it’s your first test me. We used planer boards with our guide and repeated that on our own boat. Took us a bit longer, but had a great time fishing.

Yes but pay attention to the upcoming weather and be flexible.
Even though we were not able to it would have been easier on all of us.,
Mr. Hughes and Carol were great.

We had a lot of storms popping up and high winds off an on all day but still caught a few large catfishes and walleye. Will be coming back earlier in the season next year.

The weather is unpredictable. Our day of perch fishing was great. But we had a second trip for walleye booked that got canceled because of thunderstorms.

Pay a little money to get the experience you want. Cheaper definitely doesn’t mean better in this case.

Definitely book with Captain Steve Rumer. This will be fun, and exciting! He puts you on the fish.

If it’s going to be a windy day bring a jacket. It got cooler the further we went out.
