What would you recommend to anglers fishing in Panama City Beach, Florida for the first time?

Bay fishing is tough when the heat of summer is on. The trout bite was very good though. Also saw quite a few dolphins.

Really good deep sea fishing experience. Undercurrent and dolphins had an effect on our bite but still managed to land ton of fish!

Bring plenty of waters or hydration style drinks, make sure you have sunscreen and or UV shirts. Be ready to enjoy yourself and have a great time.

Bring plenty of water or something to drink. Wear shoes that are okay to get wet. If you are fishing during the day wear sunscreen or long sleeves.

Stay friendly with the captain and tip well and they will hook you up right and take real good care of you

Absolutely. Very knowledgeable captain and good equipment. We set out just to catch fish and we certainly did that.

The weather has a mind of it’s own so just be patient and understand that sometimes plans have to change.

Since it is so hot, be sure to bring water and sunscreen. We had cooling neck towels that helped too.

Stay hydrated. It will be pretty hot, but if you book early in the morning for a 4-hour trip, you will make it back before it gets really hot.

Don’t get discouraged if the catching starts out a little slow. Trust Captain Clay and Solomon they will help you get fish in the boat.

Try to find as much information as you can about the weather. The captain can’t do much to help you when the wind blows and the ocean gets rough

Pay attention to seasonal restrictions on fish. We were hoping to catch and keep grouper and red snapper but had to throw them back because they were not caught in season.

Go bottom fishing because red snapper are out of season and there are alot of them. It's fun but you can't keep them

Be ready for a fight of a life time with the fish, and if you have motion sickness bring something for it and take the night before and the next morning.

We had great weather, Red Snapper was not in season, caught a few but had to throw them back. Caught plenty of grunts, squirrel fish, and vermillion snapper.

It was great. There were storms a few days before and it was a bit windy at the end but our captain was a pro in navigating the chop!

If you have a 7 y/o fishing for the first time, do an inshore fishing trip. The water isn’t rough, you’ll catch fish, and you’ll see plenty of wildlife and dolphins.

Wind/water conditions changed daily in the spring. Find an experienced/local Captain and he will definitely increase your success. Hurricane Fishing Charters is second to none, he’s the man!

The winds were way too strong to head out into the gulf. Fishing in the bay was fun, but we would have loved to get out there.

I gave fishing in March 3 stars because the weather not because of the Captain or deck hand. It was fun but it would’ve been more enjoying if we would’ve waited til May or June

Keep your expectations real. Make it as much about the overall experience as much as the expectations of fish.
