What would you recommend to anglers fishing in Panama City Beach, Florida for the first time?

Nice bay fishing. Lots of choices when the bite is not on. Alternate jetties action if all else fails. A complex system of salt marsh to open water and everything in between.

Keep an eye on the weather conditions. Makes a big difference on whether you'll be "fishing or catching".

Read the reviews, call the captain and ask if there are options to do whatever your crew wants to do.

Just because you don't catch what you booked enjoy the bottom fishing its great catching two fish at a time.

Check the season for what fish you can catch; were one day early for trigger fish and hooked a lot of them.

Go with Captain Darius for a great and enjoyable trip. Dad and daughter want to go back again and do it again. Very informative about fishing and shared his wealth of knowledge on the fishing trip.

Be sure to bring nausea medicine if you aren’t sure whether you can handle a little boat rocking. ?

I Definitely recommend B&B charters (Captian Bryan) or Bloodline Charters (Captian Billy). So fun and friendly!

Bring a sweatshirt in April. Get there early. We were, and we were the only ones going on the charter so we got to leave a little early and get a little extra time out fishing

Be prepared for the weather, and bring a bucket or a cooler to take your fish home if you choose to.

Sunblock, hat, and an extra jacket just in case the wind picks up. Go with the Captains choice, since they know what are biting and where to go.

I caught a Tripletail 17 inches long and Captain Scott was just Great, my girl also caught a 30 inch Black tail shark, what a fun time, Thanks Captain Scott !!!

Dolphins were not our friend. So we didn’t catch as much as we wanted but it was still a lot of fun!

I recommend you buy live bait. We used squid for bottom fishing but you need live bait to catch the King Mackerel and Bonita

Definitely fun with the right boat. Red snapper season is a myst aswell. Just research the right boat.

We had a good experience fishing out of Panama City Beach, we have fished in other locations in Florida. A good bang for the buck.

Plan on at least 10 hours for your booking, it takes a long time to get out far enough to catch the big boys.

Ask about how license work. Red snapper was open for Federally licensed boats, but not state licensed boats. Did not know that.

Not applicable for this trip...it was only for scattering ashes of a relative. Wonderful experience!

Bring a light jacket and go when the sun is out. The opportunity to catch more fish would increase while the sun is out

Decide on type of fish you would like to fish for and then decide if you would like to go fishing at the flats or out deep sea fishing.

Go with this crew! We were a little early for the mahi mahi, grouper, and red snapper bit still caught a few, just couldn't keep. Still had a great time!

Be prepared for a cool start and possibly some rough water. Trigger fish are the best thing to shoot but the pogies are good too.

Get a 5-6 hour trip to maximize fishing time and get to the best places with minimal crowds.
