Book the all-day trip, it’s your best chance to get on the fish. The boat can cover more water and go out farther. There’s a good amount of luck and chance involved but more time on the water is always a good bet!

The fish that are around Hawaii in February are much more limited and there aren't many tuna or mahi around. We got lucky to get all the bill fish on our trip. But fighting a big Marlin is amazing!

I’ve been lucky enough to use several charters out of Honolulu and this is far away the best one. Good boat the crew knows what they’re doing. Very very family friendly and angler friendly couldn’t have expected or asked for more.

Do your homework! Know what to bring (or not) and understand what may or may not happen. The crew cannot make the fish bite but this cre works hard to get the job done. Even so, you might only get a nice boat ride. Don’t blame the crew! Fish bite when they want to,but an experienced crew like this one will get the job done for you!!!

Kelp doesn’t grow on the reefs in Hawaii, so there is nothing to keep the fish in the same place for long periods of time so you are going to rely on the birds a lot. You’ll have cell signal so maybe turn off your signal if you want to get away

Check the fishing reports. For some reason, marlin were showing up off of Oahu. Normally people fish for marlin off of the Big Island (Kona side). The captain and deck hand were as thrilled as we were! They were masterful at spotting opportunities to hook into these blue marlin and striped marlin.

We had an incredible trip!! This was our first private charter and Capt. Gabe and Tino did a great job showing us what to do and explaining everything!! They got us on fish several times and we got a big Mahi on board and missed 1. A great time had by all!! i would fish with these guys again!!

We had a really fun day. It was windy which made the water pretty choppy but we ended up catching a flip Jack and a Mahi Mahi. Captain and crew were nice and worked hard. Enjoyable time

Captain and crew put us on the fish, but we were dealing with some picky eaters. Short striking, biting the tails off bait, had one mahi pop off. Crew kept putting in the work & we managed to boat a couple wahoo on a double-header. Had fun swapping stories and enjoying the beautiful day on the ocean. Highly recommend booking a day on the Ruckus.

Good boat and great gear (all Tiagra and Penn 130’s in great condition), very friendly captain. Unfortunately the fish had lock jaw on our 3/4 day charter, so disappointing result.

We really enjoyed our full day trip out on Ruckus. The crew worked hard to look for fish and tried many different techniques. Ultimately we caught some mahi mahi and two types of tuna fish. The captain cleaned the fish and we were able to take home whatever we chose. Great trip!!

Jackson and Nico were awesome, we were hearing not many fish were being caught the past few days so they had a backup plan for us to give us the best chance of catching fish. Throughout the day we only had a couple of bites but their flexibility and creativity led to us still catching a nice mahi mahi and had a great fight with unknown big fish. Overall the boat was great, the service was better, and the day was a blast

Will and team did an amazing job today! They had four us to tend with and we all caught fish! Two Mahi Mahi, a Skipjack and we ended the day with a Blue Marlin! I highly recommend the Whipsaw!

Great young crew ( Capt. Gabe & mate Tao) that knew their stuff, and worked their butts off to get us a fish or in this case 3 mahi mahi, although only got 2 on board, but not a big deal. We had fished Hawaii twice before with no luck so very happy with the results thus time, hence the title of this review-after all its called fishing not catching.

We had a blast for our Sons spring break Hawaii trip. One of the highlights was the fishing charter experience. The captain and co captain were amazing. Helped us catch fish and cleaned them for us. This charter experience is one you have to experience for yourself.

Fue un viaje compartido con otra gente, La tripulación estuvo muy bien, hizo lo posible para pescar, pero se logro un solo pez( mahi mahi) a los 20 minutos q salimos , y el resto de las 8 horas ni un pique, a veces no quieren comer y no esta en las manos de nadie,

This is a good way to keep a rod in your hand, drift the bottom, and go after some little local fighters. The 2 hour trip is perfect if you have a busy day planned and still want to fit in some fishing. Captain Rick is friendly and knows how to get you to the fish! Had a great time

Captain Ruben and Te-o were amazing! They patiently taught us all we needed to know to land the fish.
We ended up with 7 Mahi Mahi, and couldn’t have had more fun!
