On this light tackle/hands-on fishing trip, we'll be cruising around the beautiful Grand Traverse Bay looking for lake trout & cisco. In May and June we look towards the shoreline and shallow reefs holding fish by casting and retrieving jigs or blade baits back to the boat. Then once the water warms, fish will then push put to deep water/reefs for the remainder of summer. At that point we will begin our vertical jigging charters and what a riot this tactic is!

Drove up from NKY to experience fishing Lake Michigan and we were not disappointed. Headed out in dense fog before sunrise-Chris has us rigged up right away and the fish wastes no time biting. The day was a beautiful and calm + comfortable boat,+ friendly captain and plenty of fish to take home. Caught 8 sizable lake trout and 2 dif types salmon. Would love to come back in spring or summer.

We booked a last minute trip for early Sunday morning. Fish get tricky in September but Jim led us offshore and, apparently, knows exactly where they hide. We got to our spot as the sun was rising, caught our limit in some big lake trout and threw in a king salmon for good luck. The boat was clean and crew was conversational and professional. I couldn’t recommend them enough. We left with 30lbs of fresh fish filet!

We had a amazing time with these Guys, very informative,explained different bites, got us on 5 very nice Lake trout, great tips on cooking pour mans lobster. Boat was beautiful tackle was great and easy to use.The sunset was beautiful on the way in , great trip!
