Listen to the captain. He is from the area and he knows the area and knows what to look for to out you on fish. If his spot isn't working and he can't get a fish on the line then he will continue to search to put you on some fish.

Great experience. We did an afternoon trip and were grateful that we had a good breeze all afternoon otherwise it would have been too hot. Morning trip is probably better for those sensitive to the heat.

Make sure you wear sunscreen and a hat that won’t blow away. Wear layers and shoes you don’t mind getting wet or dirty. Let the captain know what you’re interested in catching so they can go to the best place to increase your chances of catching the perfect fish. Relax and enjoy!

Captain Brian is knowledgeable, helpful, patient and an skillful fisherman. He took us to locations to catch plenty of fish. His boat is well equipped with fishing rods, tackle and bait. It is a very clean, perfect boat for fishing. He has a wide range of cool music to listen to. He is a very friendly and interesting person. Highly recommend Captain Brian Fishing Excursion. You won’t be disappointed
Thanks Captain Brian for a fun day.

It was not the perfect time of the year for fishing here. A little later would have been a better bite. Captain Ray tried different tactics the whole time. We went out 40 miles to where the fish were. We could have had our limit of black fin tuna, but we opted to go for wahoo and Captain Ray said we may not catch anything but you sure won't if you don't try. It's not a guarantee to catch fish but Captain Ray did everything possible to do so. We ended up with 4 tuna and some other fish we caught off the bottom, I don't remember the name but they were delicious. The experience was great, we had beautiful weather, Captain Ray was fun, knowledgeable and just easy to be with. I would recommend Captain Ray to any serious fishermen.

We ran into a bit of weather, so I would say keep your eye on the radar for showers. Other than that, the guides know what they are doing and will put you on fish to the best of their ability. If it gets slow, they know the spots to catch sharks…and they are always biting! Redfish, toadfish, rays and 3 different sharks is what we had on the lines today.

Plan to dress warm in the morning and shed clothes as the day goes on. The boat we went on will do 20 plus knots so we were glad we layered.
I like inshore trips because I’ve sailed blue water all my life and after over 60 years of doing it, I’ve had enough beatings.

September and the fall season is a great time to fish this area. There is action in the surf, inshore and offshore depending on what you’re targeting. Visit Haddrells Point for all the expert advice and supplies you need.

Go for the trophy fish in the summer months, shark and bull reds. It is too hot to fish the creeks necessary for trout or smaller reds suitable for eating. The water temperature makes the fish sluggish. Save that type of fishing for colder months.

Yes, the weather was excellent - not too hot and not too cold. I would recommend booking a trip on a weekday if possible. It was so peaceful and enjoyable out on the water; we only saw 3-4 other boats all afternoon.

We did the 4 hour outer bank's because we had small kids and that was good for them the captain took us to some good spots so they caught some nice fish next time I want to do the half day with the teens and adults we had an awesome captain and crew ready to go again

We fished from 2pm to 7pm. We had luck with black drum and red fish under the docks with shrimp fishing on the floor...we caught the largest spotted trout with shrimp on floating corks near the shorelines between 6pm and 7pm when the wind was calm.

Go out with captain cody at top predator Avengers catch some great fish enjoy the beautiful low country of sc from a different angle

If you go fishing in mid to late March dress warm for morning fishing, it was very cold starting out. It warmed up later in the morning.

I highly recommend to do inshore fishing for the first timers. Use Captain Dan he is really good with first time.

It was absolutely beautiful out for our trip in February! Barely any wind and super sunny! All you need to bring is a little water and get ready to catch a lot of fish!

Chris Mushall
Patience. Weather had been colder than normal and a winter storm had just tore through the area 3 weeks prior. Pretty
sure the fish behavior was altered significantly by this factor

The weather was great, a little windy but the temperature was perfect. Mount Pleasant and Shem's Creek are great place to visit!

James Mugler
Listen to your Captain on tide levels and the best time to fish. We did not know about tides before the trip, but it all worked out!

Nicole Waddell
Pay attention to the weather forecast…it makes a difference in your experience…the captain can’t control the weather!!

Scott Wiggleton
The inshore fishing experience was great! We did out in the main channel and back in the marsh! It was a great experience! Highly recommend Captain Johnson!

Nathan Cummings
Perfect for the most experienced angler as well as someone who has never cast a rod. We asked for a shark experience, and we got it! Lots of sharks and lots of fun.

Myk Barbero
I cant, we fished out of Johns Island. I wanted to fish out of Mt. Pleasant, but the captain said he had his boat at Johns Island Yacth club

Jim Root
It’s all about the experience! In addition to the fishing, lots of dolphins, a Bald Eagle, two Osprey on a nest, Loons, Terns and more!

Charles Brown
Bring a light jacket for early spring mornings and listen to your captain, this person knows his stuff.

Suzanne Keegan
Great area, just iffy in March. Captain said they caught 20 the day before but we got 3. It was cold & windy

Richard Michaux
Make sure you bring appropriate attire. The weather took us off guard and we were pretty cold out there.

Ryan Martin
Lots of options when it comes to areas to target in the inshore fisheries. Always something to bend your rod no matter what time of year

Danae Long
Make sure you wear shoes that can get wet. Bring sunscreen, sunglasses and a hat - you will be in the sun.

Captain Joe was very knowledgeable. He also told us where to go to get our fish cleaned and cooked. It was amazing.
