What would you recommend to anglers fishing in Fort Pierce, Florida for the first time?

State reulationsforced me to throw my catches back. Even the 20lb snapper.Came away empty...

We fished in Avalon, NJ, not Fort Pierce. Please note this review is for the Avalon, NJ charter.

Pick a day with lower winds preceding and on your day of the charter if you’re going to the reef!! The Ocean gets rough on windy days!!

The crew was great and the boat was very comfortable in the calm seas, not sure what the head looked like though as everyone used the nearby port-a-potty before we left dock.

Check out the weather forecast and do not schedule for windy or rainy days. Dress for the weather conditions.

Keep an open mind, be willing to learn, enjoy the surroundings (nature, the water, etc…) and be patient.

Fishing in Fort Pierce is great. Wether on a charter boat or from shore you are sure to catch a fish.

Book Captain Griffin for a charter, no one knows the fish and the Fort Pierce area better than him. You're almost guaranteed a catch with him.

Getting out is pretty fun as long as your willing to put in the work be ready to be sore after reeling in that big fish

Not worth trolling in the beginning to mid-June—we tried for an hour fishing for mahi and didn’t get a single bite—end up bottom fishing and had a blast for the next 2.5 hours.

Pack a cooler and let go to work. Bring sunblock and let the captain go to work. You might just make a friend

Be prepared to fish hard and remember you and your captain are at the mercy of the ocean and in the end you can't make them bite ?

Use a booking agency, especially if you're not familiar with the area. A worthwhile investment for sure!

You will most likely catch fish but not several and we caught all pretty small fish

Great time to fish! Beautiful weather, not extremely hot and the fish were biting!

Be ready for the heat and the sharks to pounce on your line when you have a fish on.

Just ask lots of questions, in case there is a type of fish you’re looking to catch.

Great time of year but still have to deal with wind. Wind dictates where you go and how fish react.

Be prepared for hot weather and afternoon shower storms. But overall fishing is great
