DO NOT BOOK THIS BOAT AS A DEEP SEA FISHING CHARTER, any other turtle swimming or reef fishing trip you should be fine. Let me start off by saying I know he’s going to respond with some snarky comment saying well you caught a fish so you can’t complain. However, we were praying to survive this fishing charter. We were out there in waves and wind that any safe/real captain would have cancelled. We were waterboarded for 6 hour straight sitting in front of the windshield while the captain was comfortable in the back. Only two of us and nowhere safe or comfortable to sit. If we would’ve let go for even a second we would’ve been in the water. Swells 3x the size of boat while we hit the waves as hard as possible with no regard for our safety or the condition of the boat. Absolutely no instructions on how to find the boat. It was through some random back chain fence around the corner under the tree to a dock they didn’t even have a slip at. No conversation through the whole trip. This is a charter that cares more about your money than your life. We are truly thankful to even have survived this trip.

Captain George and DeVaughn were great teachers. You can always learn on your own and when you have someone coach you that already has the experience it makes things way more enjoyable then you get further faster!

If you plan on going offshore, you better eat your Wheaties first lol, after catching our first game fish I hooked into what felt like a small tuna and then no time it started ripping over 200 yards of wine, which was obviously a shark. The four of us on the boat fought it for over an hour until finally, it broke the line. Your body is going to feel that the next day. ?

Be conscious of whether you want to keep what you catch. Depending on where you are staying, this may be a challenge. Make sure all the arrangements are clear before hand just to make sure you can keep what you catch.

The high winds make the Waverley choppy and difficult to fish. The area is over fished. The fish are also highly pressured. I spent more time trying to finesse fish and catch him with a hook set. It’s not easy. This is no reflection on the crew.

Don’t always expect to caught something. It’s called fishing for a reason. I always say a day on the water is a great day rather you bring dinner home in the bucket or it’s empty being on the water is always a great day!

We probably fished for a total of about 2.5HRS at no fault of Cpt. We wanted to have our fish cooked by a restaurant recommended which left us with limited time fishing due to our departure time. We caught a total of 16 keepers. Probably just as many if not more releases, and just as many if not more misses. There were 3 in my party. 1 avid fisherman, 1 done it before and can do it again, and 1 who has never held a rod in their hand. The catches worked out as you would expect. The novice missed as many bites as they got. The experienced missed a few. The avid caught the most but still missed some Bites.

We caught a lot of fish, but this time of year the weather is not perfect if you’re trying to catch wahoo. If you’re coming just to Fish, I would wait until the second week of November. Unless you’re coming to have fun and it was an amazing trip.

We had an amazing time as a family trip with a child nine years old. Please keep in mind. We were bottom fishing with Live bait. Well, anything is possible most of the fish we caught were a pound to 2 pounds in weight. It was more about the experience overall. We had an awesome time. I’m sure if you’re looking for big fish Just message the captain beforehand to see how he can help you

Make sure AC works
That’s why a paid the extra money and should have been notified-the AC wasn’t working -we sweated our butts off- we would have renegotiated rate
Also wasn’t happy about the boarding fee that had to be paid at the dock- should have know about that also - it wasn’t that much but felt like it was BS

Great light tackle trip, lots of fish - nothing huge but plenty of action and the triggerfish fight hard. Also had a line in the water with bait for a predator so opportunity for larger fish is there.

Prepare for the heat and stay hydrated. Trust the knowledgeable and experienced captains. They know where to go and how to best fish in the Bahamas. Also remember there is a lot of other things that can be done during the charter. Island hop, snorkeling and tours. The half day tours are great but a whole day is the best. Fishing may require patience and some trial and error.

If you are fishing with individuals who want the action of actually catching fish, especially with younger children, this is absolutely a great charter. We did catch several good fish and a variety, enough in just an hour or so to cook a great meal during the trip.
Stephanie Blackburn
Be aware that you will be trolling most of the time - whether deep sea or in shallow waters. It is not “active” fishing like we’ve experience most other places. With a great captain you can still have a good time — and with luck you can still bring in fish!
Barry Marontate
Make sure you read all reviews and how the Captain responds. Bad days of fishing can’t be predicted but bad service is another matter. Captain Teddy was a class act compared to other captain’s I’ve had here in the Bahamas

Fishing in December is limited and wind risky. However, temperatures are great. We caught a nice cross-section of fish. Mackerel, Barracuda, Grouper and Yellowtail. Early morning is best. Great outing.

I fish a lot and the one thing I would recommend is to bring some ice to ice down your catch and keep it fresh. Its not so bad to not have ice on a 4 hour charter but I would definitely recommend bringing ice for the fish if you do a whole day charter.

If you expect to do sport fishing, deep sea fishing, book a 35-38 foot boat at a minimum. Boats that size and larger usually have restrooms and cabins and that can help make the experience much nicer for your first time out. Take tons of photos and videos. Get yourself ready for memories of a lifetime.

Bring snacks! The fishing charter provides water, sodas and rum. Having sandwiches packed helped!
Saul Saenz
bring your own food and snacks. Some drinks are provided but it's still BYOB or any alcohol.
Michaela Klein
Research good areas to fish and what kind of fishing to do (bottom/trolling/spear)
Frank A Lloyd
Watch the storms that usually form and keep an eye on weather and ocean conditions before booking. Also extremely hot on the water so make sure you're prepared for extreme heat for long durations.
Jessica Percoski
Fishing was great but Boat ride back was very rough and PJ was going fast. I flew up in the air and ended up fracturing my tailbone. It ruined the rest of my trip.
Shay Eaton
Bring sunscreen! It was a very hot and humid day, however the breeze on top of the boat was so nice and cooling!
Amanda Shafer
Perfect experience for all experience levels. We caught everything from smaller reef fish to sharks.
Dana Gardner
The weather was perfect. The water was calm and we caught a lot because Captain Ted is a pro and knew exactly where to go.
Curtis Briles
Can’t give a true opinion, met people at the dock after our trip who crushed fish, but we caught just a few tiny fish.
Morgan Stenberg
Just book the trip! It was wonderful just being on the water seeing all the views even if you don’t catch anything. We caught 2 fish and we were very happy!
Sara Phillips
We did a couple of fishing trips while we were here this vacation and this was the best overall experience

Sunscreen, long sleeves for sun block. Hat with strap (windy) sunglasses a must. Listen and they will catch you fish.
