What would you recommend to anglers fishing in Nassau for the first time?

Do your research, I have expected Fishing Hooker to do theirs, but apparently not. I hope that they contact me for at least a partial refund.

Quantity over quality here. Not a lot of big fish, but a lot of decent grunt, strawberry grouper and squirrel fish.

This was an excellent family experience and you do not need to be an expert. The Captain and First Mate were very patient with the kids who have limited fishing experience.

We had a really windy day and only caught 2 in the couple of hours we fished but on a better day I'm sure there'd be more bites

Im not going to say anything bad here we just didn't catch, bottom line.I've heard mixed reviews about big game fishing in February

Tide was slack in the afternoon and the wind changed a bit through the week. Unseasonably cool for early January; plan accordingly. Kris knows bonefish.

It was a great fishing trip. The fish were really biting that day. Although they were not big it was just perfect for my kids.

The captain and crew were great! We wanted to fish for large fish, and we did!! We caught a 5ft Mahi Mahi!! We will do this excursion on our next trip to the bahamas!

Great for first timers because you are catching smaller fish that are easier to land and the crew is very helpful.

Boat picked us up at Margaritaville and we had to pay $25 for the launch. Parking was very challenging.

Like anywhere in the world, a bite is never guaranteed! Heard no boats had much luck the day we went. But the day before they did!! It’s worth it to go and try though, you won’t regret it.

The fishing is probably better further away from the Nassau harbor where there is less boat traffic, but there is still plenty to catch.

They call it fishing not catching! So don’t be upset if you don’t catch something! If you catch that’s the bonus of the trip!

Try using the hand lines. Go for the bottom fish instead of spending the whole trip trying to get a marlin .

Wahoo did not cooperate for us, but we still caught a variety reef fishing and some tuna while trolling. All in all a great time.

Wait until the end of February or early March to book a fishing trip. Seems to be the time to catch fish you can eat.

I didn't catch anything on a 4 hr charter but bring a travel rod and fish the beaches in the morning theres all kinds of jacks and snappers to be caught on light tackle.

Understand that the weather can be hit or miss. You may not get a shot at the biggest fish, but we caught more than enough for lunch.

We fished only a little as we were snorkeling and beach touring mostly. The ride, captain and seas were TOP NOTCH! Highly reccomend!

It was a bad day of fishing, it happens. Crew worked hard, so if they were out there, we would have found them....just one of those days.

We caught several Different kinds of reef fish. Mostly small but our line broke when trying to reel in a few of them.

We caught enough fish to feed a family of four and amazing meal at the The Poop Deck near the marina.

Yes. It does get hot so drink lots of water, take breaks inside and go on top and let the wind hit you so it feels like air conditioning. Great experience.

It is a great experience there are many species of fish very different from those you catch in the US

Many of the charters are overpriced. $6-700 is fair for half day. $800 and up is ludicrous. If people stop overpaying the prices will moderate.

The only problem is we visited in early June which was sort of the rainy period in the Bahamas. I highly recommend the fishing there but I would go outside of May/June.

Well I’m not an experienced fisherman, but if you want a fun time for teens somewhat experienced for fishing this is the charter. Really helped and taught them.
