Plan ahead to know what you want to fish for and understand what’s in season so you know what you can keep or what has to be released. The mingos and porgies are delicious, definitely catch your limit if you can.

William Stanford
Check in with the captain to determine whether or not deep sea or bay fishing would be better for that day. The bite was probably better in the sound then out in the ocean, so be willing to switch and work with a captain. Also if you don't have one already buy long sleeve fishing shirts with hoods.

Jed Teague
Sunscreen water and choose a dayThat's not bumpy Or leave the ones that get sea sick easily behind (thay will thank you later ) other than that All you need is a good fishing shirt some shorts and a hat

James Dunlap
Be open to what is biting. Red snapper season was going on, but had been hammered the weekend before I went so we added some
Shark and redfish into mix. All in all a very good time to catch numbers and quality.
Fish.

Hannah Williams
Leave your towels in your car because they may get soaked on the trip. Ensure everyone eats something before going to avoid sea sickness, and consider bringing light snacks like crackers, as well as Gatorade and water.

If you can swing a longer trip (even a 5hr vs a 4hr) it will be worth it! The extra time allows you to get further out especially if the waters are a little rough. But, for a first time experience, the 4hr trio is a great one to experience but it will definitely leave you wanting more. Time goes quickly!

It was absolutely a great experience. Fishing in the early morning might be a better idea and don't expect that you will find the type of fishes you want. Availability are varies and it's always a surprise on what you will reel in. As first timer, just be patience if you haven't able to catch anything on the first try

If your goal is to catch red snapper, book early. Weather forecasts can change, be flexible. Communication is crucial for the success and enjoyment of the trip, if you have questions ask.

Jon Marshall
Do your research, talk to the captains to get the info you need. Find out what’s biting, and what you expect to catch. Most of the captains I talked too, didn’t have an issue relaying info

Eddy Parker
Go for the Amberjacks even if you have to return them because they’re not in season. They are huge!

Mike Duckworth
Was wearing a scopolamine patch went through some rough water never felt queasy! Had problems in the past

Joshua Clark
Yes I would recommend this trip for sure we fished by crab island and all around.

Molly Walker
Wear a poncho or raincoat on the way out to your spot, we got soaked from the waves. Also bring warm clothes or layers, especially for morning.

Michele Guin
Tennis shoes, layers - cold in am and warms up later, you are going to get dirty, I washed our clothes that evening. Sunscreen and reapply!

Make sure you bring good attitude, lots of sunscreen and be ready for a good time with Captain Josh and Crew.

Ryan Kassab
It can get a bit warm on the water, so early trips are better for kids or people who don't care to sweat. Bring water and sunscreen.

Larry Sheanshang
Catching fish is never guaranteed. Go into it with low expectations and that way you are never disappointed.

Richard Enzweiler
We were limited on what we could catch and go because of my wife’s vertigo but Captain Barry made the experience fun and fantastic

Laura Shores
Take Dramamine 30 min to an hour before to prevent sea sickness. Wear sunscreen and sun protective clothing. Take drinks and snacks.

Barry Burton
Graham is the best captain I’ve been with in a while! Great conversation, great fishing, and an all around unforgettable experience!

David Waycaster
The fishing is good. Check on what is allowed to be kept if you want to keep your catch. We did not and went for big fish and Captain Chuck Madden delivered!!!

Wes Freemyer
We were in Destin for a week and got one day when the wind was calm enough to go out. Fishing this time of year here is great but hard to plan in light of the variability in the wind.

Great fishing experience for our family and very knowledgeable of the area and fishing spots. We had a awesome time.

Joseph Bedwell
Great time of the year.. not too hot, sunny but the waves can be a little bumpy on certain days.

Eddie Finck
Weather is great, just be aware of winds as that can dictate how far off the coast the boat can go

Katie Hass
The weather can be unpredictable but it's still beneficial to follow through with the plan.

You may not find all the target species, but the captain will put you on some fish

Laura Alexander

Great for first time experience before venturing off shore on longer, more demanding trips

Thomas Blankette
The only thing I would do different is get a little bigger of a boat if it's available
