Depending on weather conditions and your tolerance for ocean waves, it may be prudent to book an inshore charter if you have any reservations about sea/motion sickness

Brittany Rohde
Reach out to Only fins and request to fish with Captain Rich. You will not regret it! Especially if you have kids or any mobility restraints.

Stephen Colgate
Be prepared for 2 foot seas. I have fished other times when the water was clear as glass. Not a problem for me, but others may assume calmer waters.

Eric Prentice
The weather can vary but if you book with an experienced crew such as Johnny and his guys you will not be disappointed

William Boyd
Just show up go out with cats and Rob. They have everything you need and start fishing for the best time of your life

Select a date with nice weather and be patient. Many of the fish will be undersized but there are larger ones to be caught

Austin Brewster
I’d recommend researching the different methods of catching whatever kind is species you’re going after.

George Einterz
I believe this excursion was more suited to teens and older. This opinion may be formed more by the weather as opposed to the actual trip.

Jeff Odenthal
Be ready for an amazing experience! Hold on to your phone tightly ?. Thanks Capt Robert for saving mine.

Dan Miller
Seas can be rough in November. Booking a larger vessel, like Infinite Blue, can save anyone with a tendency to get seasick.

Earl Trevino
Book with Captain Ben, it was our first time Ocean fishing, he really took the time to help us be successful!

Myron Gurman
Fishing from the pontoon boat is a great way to introduce anyone to Marathon waters . The boat is stable & very comfortable. Plus, there’s ample sun protection .

Robert Waldron
Follow the captain’s recommendations. Richard Bradley know what’s biting and where they’re located.

Doug Broughton
This is a great trip for experienced/beginners and cost-effectiveness. The caltiqn lives local was really good to make us feel welcome and suggested a cool restaurant to cooking or catch.

Joel Bach
All except way too hot!!
Our best experience was the catch and recommendation for straight to the table for dinner that night!

Jacie Meier
Remember your sunblock (not spray), take a hat and sunglasses, wear long sleeve ‘fishing’ shirts, make sure you’re drinking water!

Justin Phillips
Fishing was okay, perhaps they were also on vacation. It was still a good time and would do it again.

Tim Vanderheiden
Be aware the water temperature dictates the species and activity of bite. The higher the temp., the lower the activity.

Ronald Stewart
Lots of shoreline, shallow, and deeper water opportunities... fishing doesn't have to be expensive, but if looking for a charter ask locals, read reviews and the right packages can be found!

Jake Dupree
Expect the weather to change plans for what you’re fishing for. Be flexible if you can’t go after your target species and be ready to catch something different!

Bill Canfield
Hire a well rated charter n follow Captains instructions. They will work hard to put you on fish. Grill it at your rental or have restaurant cook your catch

Bill Clayton
There were tarpon around but not in large quantities. We hit the tail end of the season I would say.

Robert Lapoint
Great fish variety on the reef. A good guide can find the nice sized fish. The big ones can hung up in the reef structure. As usual, the winds can make or break your day. I love fishing in Marathon!

Darrell Oakes
If you love sport fishing and never Tarpon fished, put a trip with Captain John Callion on your bucket list

Clayton Llewellyn
Use knowledgeable Captains! 5th Generation Fishing Charters is the one! They go above and beyond to take care of you at any cost.

Bob Rusch
Try to experience all different types of fishing. For us: Day 1 - 30 yellow tails, Day 2 - 3 Mahi Mahi, day 3 - 2 tarpon on, one landed (6’, 150#). Yes we got lucky but guides were awesome.

Derik Frioud
Weather only permitted us to go out 1 of 3 days, so probably not a reliable review on March fishing.

Dusty Verbeke
The wind was bad all week but got Lucky and got out on good day but we were not able to go on Atlantic side .

Gina Harris
If you are prone to getting seasick make sure to take something. Our trip today was very choppy but didn’t bother any of us. They worked hard to find us fish to catch and it was a success!

Gina Harris
After Bryce cleaned our fish, we brought it to Lazy Days Restaurant and had a great dinner! They cook your fish for you and it was incredible. Highly recommend it!
