What would you recommend to anglers fishing in Islamorada, Florida for the first time?

Definitely do the night time Tarpon trip and the full day Shark trip with Captain Jon from Reel Attack. You won’t be sorry!

Be flexible in times and target species. Hire experienced guides. More time on the water increases your chances of hooking up.

To never use this captain and beware of the vetting process for the fishing charters they use. Worst fishing experience for all 4 anglers.

It is a great time to be on the water. We were able to catch so many different kinds of fish. I was really surprised about the variety.

Only thing to keep in mind is that it is *hot* and boats have limited shade. Sunscreen, water, hats, sunglasses are a must.

Listen to your Capt recommendation. I said the trip was appropriate for children because the Capt was excellent. The weather and sea this day would not have been.

The weather is a little unpredictable in April, but anytime you can go out on the water and fish is great.

Book this trip if you want to experience the thrill of the big tug! The caption was great with my 2 sons and kept them wore out tugging big fish in all day! Highly recommended!

The 2 hour trip was great if you are short on time and want to get in the highlights. It goes by fast when you are having fun, so we did wish we booked the 4 hour once we were out there.

Trust the captain on what kind of fish to target. If you try to pick one species you might spend a whole day and not catch much. Be flexible

Weather was beautiful & water gorgeous. We enjoyed the smooth boat ride out to our spot in the Everglades National Park. Fished in several spots & got fish at them all.
