What would you recommend to anglers fishing in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina for the first time?

Wear non slip shoes and bring sunscreen and get ready for fun! Definitely utilize the knowledge of the experience Captain! Worth the time and money!!!

Bring sunscreen and good attitude, have fun with it and remember you don't always catch the big one.

You will fish for shark and tarpon on this trip. If you want another experience, book another boat. We had a blast but it is work.

I would definitely recommend this trip for all ages. Our boys were of barying experience, and everyone had a wonderful time!

Ask where the best fishing spots are if you are fishing from the shore and use Aqua Excursions for inland fishing.

was great. surf fished and caught a variety; bonnet head sharks, whiting, pompano, bluefish and unfortunately a couple rays.

Get local guide. Lots of holes and tidal hotspots abound but it gets real shallow fast and it would be easy to be locked in a hole

Sunscreen and go to the bathroom before you get on the boat! If you have never been on the water before, Take Dramamine the. Oh JT before and about an hour before you board. Have a great time!

Definitely do the charter boat fishing. They know exactly what they are doing and know the best spots.

If possible change dates if there was a big storm prior causing high water and small craft advisories being posted

Not to have great expectations when fishing. It's not all getting huge catches. It's about time spent with family.

Definitely this trip. Jimmy was so knowledgeable of these waters with over 40 years in this area. I really fun day.

You never know how the catching will go, we always go with the intent of having a great time out on the water.

I recommend offshore trips for more action.. Too many croakers but water temps may have been too high for larger fish. Dolphins must be cleaning out tidal creek.

There are a lot of sharks out there and catching fish you can eat can be very hit or miss. The good thing, is that you usually get something, even though it may not be exactly what you want.

Ask captains when is the best time to of year and time to go out fishing. Book your trip at the time he suggested for the best experience.

Plan ahead, be early, take long sleeve or rain jacket, plenty of water and a snack. Take a cooler full of beer so you can catch a buzz if you aren't catching fish! ?

Night fishing is great we caught over 12 shark, don’t know about in the day but night is definitely good!

Expresses great access to the water is also great would recommend probably going early to mid Spring early to mid fall.

Fish in the morning and during October. Apparently fish aren’t biting here in June. Only had 2 bites the whole time. 1 got away the other was a baby shark about 8 to 9” long.
