What would you recommend to anglers fishing in Fort Lauderdale, Florida for the first time?

I had two little boys they made sure everybody had a great trip. Boys had a great time. We all caught fish.

Know your body. I wonder if we had gone out a little later without being in the peak of the day, if I would have gotten as sick as I did. The Florida sun is a bear

Peacock bass are a sure must to catch while in Fort Lauderdale area. So beautiful they are and what a fight too.

YB Normal knows where to go for the fish you want to catch. The captain & his mate are very experienced at what they do & have everything you need for an awesome fishing experience.

Wear sunscreen and bring lots of water with you. If you get seasick, take Dramamine and don’t eat much prior to leaving the dock.

If it’s your first trip. Definitely choose Captain Dave. SoFlo his team is amazing! Explaining everything and get you hooked up!

I think depending in heat and child the boat maybe a little hot due to shade. Ensure to bring hats and sunscreen. Other than that. It was a great trip. Capt Taylor was awesome!

The heat was the only drawback to our trip. Other than that the fish were biting and we had a good time.

Check the boat out that you will be in first. The pics on the website may not match what you actually ride in.

All kinds of bites probably every 10 mins, at one point had had bith poles being reeled in great time.

There were quite a few snags along the trip but Captain Tyler came back and made it right so my review of the customer service is absolutely fantastic.

Take the full day of fishing. It is tiring, but gives you a much better chance of catching some nice fish.

The variety of species, structure and methods of fishing in one easy to get to fishery makes you Florida anglers very spoiled!

Highly recommend. Easy trip. Be sure to clarify catch and release or if you want to take fish home. Also clarify cleaning the fish if you want to keep some.

Dress appropriately, bring sunscreen, eat a large meal before fishing, and consider bringing a small cooler for your drinks.

Many of the target species are highly migratory depending on the time of the year. Catches can vary wildly day to day or even between morning and afternoon trips.

Be optimistic. There are so many different kinds of species in these waters. So be patient with your crew and trust their knowledge. They fish these waters every day.

Just go experience it. Beautiful houses, awesome yachts,very pretty and only a short cruise to the fishing grounds, always in sight of land.

Flamingo fishing was more than perfect for our first time fishing in the ocean. Crew was more than happy to help and everyone on the boat was catching fish!

Fishing is slow overall in February on the ocean. Did alot better than I expected. 5 stars for the trip still

Kind of a slow day but as the captain explained it’s the offseason so fishing can be on and off in February.

Be flexible, weather might keep you from heading offshore so don’t overlook the fun gamefish that can be caught inshore.

Highly recommend the morning charters vs. afternoon. While it was not until late morning, we landed most of our catches, the morning water was great.

Full day, using different techniques, trolling, drifting, bottom, baits dead, alive, artificial.

Get a small boat captain and be sure to have them recommend a place to have the fresh catch cooked up! Great trip!

Bring drinks and snacks for on the boat. In July be prepared for rain storms. Let your captain know what species you want to target.

Highly recommend ,first time fishing for freshwater fish.Have been deep sea fishing many times,now have other options to look at.

Where fishing clothes, it is hot and humid!!! Don’t forget your sun tan cream. Most captains don’t like the spray kind

Do the 6 person chaters for the knowledge and attention but the that will be up to yuo as what you wish to pay for a fishing trip
