What would you recommend to anglers fishing in Fort Lauderdale, Florida for the first time?

This was my adult Son’s and mine first fishing trip to Ft Lauderdale and we had a great time. We are at the airport planning our next fishing trip back 10 out of 10!!!

I would book a trip with Zach! He knows all the great spots to fish, especially for Peacock! Everyone will catch something! So fun!!!

sean knows the water and will put you on some florida largemouth we had a good day and any seasoned bass fisherman knows how hard it is some days and sean knew how to get them to bite. fantastic trip

I’d say try coming in the fall or early spring especially if your from up north

Tuna are running, sails are moving, wahoo are flying but grouper and snapper re a lil quieter

Off season we saw fish everywhere and caught fish and lost 2 big fish 1 was a sailfish

Afternoon or evening fishing will likely be more to your liking of your goal is to bring home a “family feast”.

I would recommend getting an experienced local fisherman like Captain Perez with Wicked Cuda Fishing, to take you out .

Fish for what is active and available during your season/month...listen and learn from your captain and mate.

Absolutely, I’ve been fishing out of Fort Lauderdale for years, there’s always something to catch, just make sure that they have a decent boat for the experience.

Heavier tackle than normal is recommended. The fish in the area are big, powerful, and always live around some heavy cover.

Listen to your Captain, don’t expect to catch fish, work to catch them. Remember it’s called fishing not catching and as hard as the Captains work, they cannot promise fish…so be cool.

Just sit back relax and enjoy wear sunglasses and a hat but other than that they do everything else.

Ask questions, enjoy the scenery and other shops, and maybe the blue angels will give you a free airshow like they did for us.

Go with Captain Perez, he's a quality Captain with exceptional experience in the area and with the type of fishing that will produce for you.

If you go to the everglades you might as well go fishing. Screw the tourist boat, I saw gators all day and didn't go for that

Go out and use a guide. Paying the money to have someone that specializes in this area will help you get what you want a lot easier.

Be flexible and don’t hesitate to fish inshore. You may have more bites, especially when the wind blows.

Had pretty good success for a 3 hour trip in the middle of the day. I am sure morning or night would have been better, but it worked great with kids and our schedule.

Bring Sunscreen, things to protect yourself from the sun. Stay hydrated, have some snacks and enjoy the fishing trip!

We had a great day. Hard to imagine it being better but maybe we were a combination of lucky and good with our Captain and first mate.

My expectations were higher then reality but that's fishing. Fishing is the fun and catching is a gift.

It was rainy, a little cold, and the water was rough. Nothing took away from our attitude and experience

Affordable. Lots of value as well. Deckhand Logan was killing it too, both days, look at these fish! Had a really nice Mahi Mahi as well

We got tons of small tuna and got a good fight in our heavy line from a massive fish. The day was all action.

I was told spring is the best but we also enjoyed our late summer trip. I’m not sure there is a season we wouldn’t enjoy.

Party of 4 brought in multiple fish each. Boat captain and first mate were skilled and nice friendly people. We would recommend.
