What would you recommend to anglers fishing in Fort Lauderdale, Florida for the first time?

Great area to fish. Good edible fish, pretty fish, big game fish all can be caught without going offshore many miles. More fishing and little drive time.

There are fish to be caught in April. I think there would be more to be caught in March but I would fish again whenever I went down there.

March isn’t the best time of year for fishing in Fort Lauderdale, but we still managed to get lucky!

Never go fishing and expect to catch alot. Sometimes you do, sometimes you dont. This time we didnt catch anything but we'd do it again because next time we might catch more than we can keep!

Check the weather prior too. Pay attention to the moon cycle. Precheck the limitations and required sizes allowable to keep.

Cannot consider Lauderdale Sportfishing Reel Legend a fishing trip. They will fish for you, terrible experience overall.

If you want to do some serious fishing then I’d recommend an all day trip and talk to the captains before hand to find out when the best time of the year is.

Only if you are able to cast your own lines and really catch the fish your self.

Not the best time of year for most fish, but you can still catch some nice fish.

Peacock bass fishing is amazing. Very aggressive fish and awesome fighting fish.

Check with the guide about the seasonal fish activitiy so you know what to expect.

First time go for the half day. That’s what Taylor recommended and it was perfect.

Just a very hot day and not a ton of fish out. I’m sure other days are better though.

Choose sport fishing to catch big fish. From experience, previous wasn’t as good as this trip

Fort Lauderdale in February is not the best time of year but there definitely fish out there.
