Not the greatest time to go due to the wstef being warmer and the fush not biting as much but still fun and we caught fish!

I knew it wasn't the right season for wahoo or bill fish but fishing is not catching and you can't catch'em if you aren't on the water

Weather is a bit hot so fishing slows down but the sailfish start coming close to the island so there is a chance to land a trophy.

Go at least 6 hours, maybe 8+ if possible. More time out there, more chance of greater number of species, and 8 hours or longer can provide the time needed to go deep after billfish

Be ready to pay in cash in case there is technical difficulty. Even though the app says they accept credit card.

We had a quiet day on the water but our captain and mates worked hard to find us fish (which we eventually did).

The water can be rough... my best advice is do not sit inside, and take all advice from the captain before and during your trip!

If you get seasick don’t go out. The chop was heavy and while that doesn’t bother me or my son’s in the least it could bother some people.

Many options to go for but mahi mahi seemed to be what was biting. Sailfish would be an amazing experience and I may go back for that

Be prepared for big waves due to wind. Might want to bring Dramamine. We didn’t use any and no one got sick but a couple of us were nauseous. Weather was great though. Some sun, some clouds.

Def bring sunscreen or be a seasoned angler who’s out in the sun a lot. The boat is impeccable! Very great gear and you can tell Capt Tom takes care of his equipment! Lots of shade on the boat.

I know every time you go you are not guaranteed to catch a fish. We did, but would have loved to reel in a few more. We caught one big boy.

Yes. Renee will take care of you. The fish were not biting for us, but Renee will surely guide any rookie through the motions when the time comes.

Seems like mornings might be better, cooler water temps have an advantage based on conversation with the Captain.

Just remember it is called fishing and not "catching". The experience is about more than just what you caught.

Be patient! These guys work hard to get you as many fish as possible! A lot of people say the ocean and waves are rough but we didn’t think it was bad for being the ocean:)

Be prepared if you have know or unknown motion sickness. Take the necessary precautions! However, the captain was great for assisting!

Fishing overall was not great, no bites and no fish. I know fishing is hit or miss but this was a big miss.

This is outside the peak fishing season for Aruba. However, they are still out there catching fish every day. Sometimes it's just luck of the draw.

Just relax and enjoy the boat ride! It’s fishing and to catch a monster is always a possibility and we did! Rinse your catch in salt water and try blackened yum!!

Open water fishing does require patience. We ended up with a good catch, 5 quality fish over a 6 hour period. That's why it's called fishing, not catching ?

Go with an experienced crew, they will try their best to find the fish. The moon matters, if it was full the night before, the fish might not be as hungry in the morning because they ate at night.

Lots of fishing at the seaport, not here often enough to know what time is the best time. But, lots of fisherman and boats!

Look at the boat, and if it looks old, it is! Check fishing report. If most of the boats are at the pier there is a reason, NO Fish

Did two trips, one was bad, other fair....not sure October is ideal fishing in Aruba despite what seems to be conventional thought that its a relatively good season.
