What would you recommend to anglers fishing in Playa Del Carmen, Quintana Roo for the first time?

Go after what your captain recommends they live here and know what to Target at any given time of year.take all the precautions you can to prevent sea sickness it can be rough out there.

Trust your captain. Bring sunscreen. Otherwise the captains will take care of you.

I would say okay because it’s the start of hurricane season and rainy everyday with wind.

The GPS puts you at the back entrance of the hotel, meet the captain on the beach by the bar.

Weather was sunny. The waves were rolling. And the catching was not so great in the afternoon.

Fishing is never guaranteed, and we caught fish that tasted delicious, so we can’t be mad.

We wanted to catch Mahi Mahi but wasn’t in season. Still satisfied with what we caught

Not much for large fish, so if that’s what you’re looking for I didn’t see it.

This isn't the season to catch an array of fish but we made the most of it and enjoyed our time.

Have fun. Bring sunscreen. Hat. Towel to sit on. And remember it's fishing. Not constant action.

Definitely go in the morning so there is a better chance to catch fish along with power temps

Great fishing although the seaweed can be a pain. The people and community are great.

Can get choppy, just be prepared. Take some nausea medicine if your not used to the currents

Alfonso and his crew are very knowledgeable did all the hard work, so very easy fishing.

The port you sail from has a sea weed problem but look and smell past that. It’s well worth it.

Eat a hardy Breakfast, these fish are big and fast. Snorkel with the turtles for lunch.

Be patient, no matter how good the fisherman is, sometimes the big ones don't bite!

Wait until May, June or July. Fishing is slow in March unless you are ok with reef fishing.

Makensure you dont drink the night before. Rolling waves and a hangover dont match well.

Seaweed was an issue but other than that a great day on the beautiful waters of Playa Del Carmen.

We preferred a larger boat but made do. Capt was very professional and accommodating to our needs.

Poor no signs of any fish, no reports from any other of the many other boats catching.
