What would you recommend to anglers fishing in Playa Del Carmen, Quintana Roo for the first time?

no matter what the time of year if the weather is good then fish.......all the boats had a poor day.....but that fishing

If you want to catch the big fish come in May, Jun and July. There is always fish to catch all year long!

We didn't fish Playa del Carmen it was Puerto Adventuras. Ask your hotel to arrange it then hopefully health and safety will be observed.

Patience, the weather and the sea conditions were indifferent this time of the year but there are some fantastic fish to catch, other holidays makers who we chatted to caught some huge fish.

Go after what your captain recommends they live here and know what to Target at any given time of year.take all the precautions you can to prevent sea sickness it can be rough out there.

March is typically slower fishing for sailfish, Marlin, etc. The bottom fishing was decent.

I honestly have no idea. I'm sure some people had a great time, we for sure did not.

Be aware of the seasons. Fishing is much better in spring and summer for the bigger species

Great fishing if you choose the right boat and specific on what type of fishing you want to do.

Wear UV protecant clothing and have a good hat. Be ready for a work out if you catch a fish.

Start your boat ride with something for motion sickness like a good Scotch, and have fun!

prepare to get wet and if you get sea sick then make sure you take gravel. its rough out there.

Be open to what you are wanting to catch. We caught several different kinds of fish.

Pick a captain with experience who knows what different things to try to make it successful.

Make sure you have enough sun protection and liquids - it's bright and hot out there!

Trust your captain. Bring sunscreen. Otherwise the captains will take care of you.

I would say okay because it’s the start of hurricane season and rainy everyday with wind.

The GPS puts you at the back entrance of the hotel, meet the captain on the beach by the bar.

Weather was sunny. The waves were rolling. And the catching was not so great in the afternoon.

Fishing is never guaranteed, and we caught fish that tasted delicious, so we can’t be mad.

We wanted to catch Mahi Mahi but wasn’t in season. Still satisfied with what we caught

This isn't the season to catch an array of fish but we made the most of it and enjoyed our time.

Definitely go in the morning so there is a better chance to catch fish along with power temps

Great fishing although the seaweed can be a pain. The people and community are great.

Can get choppy, just be prepared. Take some nausea medicine if your not used to the currents

Alfonso and his crew are very knowledgeable did all the hard work, so very easy fishing.

The port you sail from has a sea weed problem but look and smell past that. It’s well worth it.
