Excellent trip w/ Captain Adam
We had an excellent trip. The weather was a little dodgy in the morning but layed down nicely. Adam had us on bait 1st thing and then we limited out on red grouper and had a keeper Gag as well. We got into some keeper mangrove and Vermillion snappers along the way. We lost a few lunkers - but thats always the case. The only thing we didnt land were the Barracudas. He had us on fish at every stop. The 3 of us are looking forward to fishing with him again.

John was a great and accommodating Captain. Caught some fish, John cleaned them and then we ate them at Mac’s (Fish Tacos). Would do it again!

Our captain had us catching our limit within the first hour and then we went and caught the big ones! Great trip! I highly recommend Captain Bryce and Jake.
About Red Grouper fishing
Red Grouper fishing targets a powerful bottom fish on reefs and wrecks. Anglers love its strong first run and firm, mild fillets. It offers steady action for beginners and seasoned anglers alike.
Most trips use bottom fishing over rocky structure, ledges, or wrecks. Drop baits on circle hooks with enough weight to hold bottom. Productive baits include live Pinfish, Pilchards, Sardines, or Squid. Cut Mullet and other oily fish also draw strikes. Heavy jigs and soft plastics work when fish are active. Keep the rod low and apply pressure fast after the bite.
Expect a boat ride to natural reefs or artificial structure. Drops are quick, and the fight is short but intense. This suits families, first-timers, and anyone who enjoys steady action. Crews often provide tackle and bait, but check what is included. Pack sun protection, non-slip shoes, snacks, and plenty of water. Consider motion-sickness medication if you are prone to seasickness.
Rules for this species vary by region and can change. Always check local fishing license and permit needs before you go. Confirm current seasons, harvest limits, and gear rules with authorities. Handle and release undersized fish carefully to support healthy stocks.
