What would you recommend to anglers fishing in Cabo San Lucas, Baja California Sur for the first time?

Make sure you have a clear understanding of what fish is biting for the season that you are booking. We did so we were not disappointed in our outing.

Warm on certain days. Bring long sleeve hooded fishing shirt and sunscreen. Consider headphones or earplugs as the boats can be loud under power trolling for several hours.

If your looking for certain species be sure to ask first as not all are likely all year. If you just want a great day on the water anytime is good.

Fantastic day for my 4 sons, 3 caught mahi and 1 caught a sail fish. Would certainly recommend the experience while in San Jose del Cabo.

Be patient and know that the captan and first mate are doing everything they can to give your try a great experience and put you on the fish

Recommend having your fish prepared at Baja Cantina! They will prepare it several ways…. Fantastic!! Especially if you catch Bonita, have them do it as a sashimi appetizer!

You will be hooked once you go fishing in Cabo San Lucas. Highly recommend go deeper charters!!!!!!!

Bring Sunscreen, Motion Sickness Meds. Remember, Its Called Fishing not Catching. Enjoy a day on the water, and any fish caught makes it an even better day.

The seas in the Pacific can be a bit rough. If you’re at all susceptible to sea sickness you may want to consider fishing closer to shore.

Yes absolutely, if it’s your first time going deep sea then it would be a good idea to take motion sickness medicine. The fishing is Phenomenal out here!

May is still good fishing, but very weather dependent! You can hook up a few marlin and a dorado or two stragglers.

Your never gaurteed anything but this crew worked extremely hard trying everything to catch fish and we had the trip of a lifetime catching 3 stripped Marlin

The weather was great in April but it is not peak season for marlin! Look for the great reviewed crew, it is better to get a crew that know rather than a fancy boat!

Weather, water and temperature was perfect! We caught 3 marlin and another fish between two of us. It was perfect!

Choose months like Sept/Oct/Nov for more prime fishing. We were in the area now and the sole focus wasn’t just fishing so it was to be expected. It was still fun

Booking in Cabo is NOT like the States. Everything is extra and your “captain” is actually a pimp for the crew who, I fear, are only working for tips.

I was hoping for Wahoo since it's been 25 years since my last one. We tried but it just didn't happen although we gave it a serious effort.

Arrive early as parking can be a challenge. Licenses can be purchased at the market on the pier. Wish someone had told us where to go to get them.

Nice weather. Not too hot, yet. Been on boats in July and got fried and sea sick. This boat is luxury. Spend the extra you won’t regret it.

I would recommend fishing in the summer months if you want to catch a lot of fish and fish in the colder months if you want large species like Marlin.

February seems to a tough time of year, per Google lol. But, there are fish. Plus the whales are everywhere.

Do your research. We used reviews to pick this boat. Speed & size matter. Def use fishingbooker when in cabo otherwise you will be bombarded at the Marina by vendors.

Just get out there...you may not catch fish every outing but when you do your going to be pulling in some awesome fish in Cabo.

Captain noted it was the end of the pelagic season. Boat was rigged only for trolling. We would have opted for reef fishing after 4 hours of trolling with no action and few other boats catching fish

I alway wear shorts under pants for the early morning ride out and put the pants in a bag when it warms up. Most boats have a spot to stay out of the cool breeze though

Book with the right boat and crew. Read reviews and speak with the captain beforehand and discuss expectations and what you are looking for in your trip.

Combine inshore with offshore on your trip to catch a nice variety . If motion sickness an issue get a bromine patch from your doctor. Works wonders.
