    (Afternoon Half Day Trip)

    BEST TRIP EVER ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I couldn’t havent dreamed up or hoped for a more perfect trip! Captain Scott was kind, knowledgeable and personable. He put us on the fish and from the first cast on it was nonstop fun! None of us could even get a break because the fish wouldn’t stop biting. We caught everything and ended up with a cooler full. Thank you Captain Scott. We will not fish with anyone else!!

    (Half day)

    Great trip!

Our trip was the same day that the Isaias hurricane was projected to hit. We went anyway and the weather was windy but amazing with some sun. The captain Mitch took us to great spots and we caught a lot of fish. We would definitely recommend captain Mitch and we will be back soon.

    (4 Hour Trip (AM))

    Awesome trip!!

Captain J put us on the fish!! 4 hour trip and I honestly don't know how many we boated. I was finally able to catch my first Redfish!! Redfish, Speckled Trout and black drum. It was pretty much non stop action. Captain J was super friendly, shared tons of knowledge about the area, and the fish, and has an amazing personality. Anytime I come tothis area, I will definitely be calling him!!

Black Drum are powerful inshore fish known for hard pulls and tasty fillets from smaller fish. Anglers target them for steady action around structure and for the chance to hook a real heavyweight. They use whisker-like barbels to find food and can make a croaking sound, which adds to the thrill of Black Drum fishing.

You can catch them with bottom fishing around jetties, bridges, oysters, and channels. Natural bait works best. Try cracked crab, shrimp, or clams on a simple rig near the bottom. Let the bait sit and use scent to draw bites. If you like lures, bounce a jig or soft plastic slowly along the bottom.

Expect a patient, steady style of fishing with sudden, bulldog runs. This is great for first-timers, families, and seasoned anglers who enjoy a solid fight. Medium or heavy tackle with abrasion-resistant leader helps around rocks and shells. Circle hooks make clean hookups and easy releases. Bring sun protection, water, a hat, and non-marking shoes. Your captain or guide will provide the rest, including bait and tackle, on most trips.

Rules for Black Drum vary by location and can change. Before you go, check your local fishing license and permit needs. Review current season dates, harvest rules, and size or bag limits for your area. When in doubt, ask your captain or local authorities to make sure you are fishing within the law.
