What would you recommend to anglers fishing in Destin, Florida for the first time?

Check for how the fish are biting beforehand if you can. Certain fish have seasons and there are times the fish aren’t as aggressive. That said we’ve not had a bad day yet

Great crew and boat. I have been charter fishing 5-6 times and this one was at the top of the list.

pack water, liquid iv, beer, beef jerky, and take your marbles out of your wife’s purse and have fun!

If you wanna go out and have a good time then book with these guys!! They knew all the spots knew what was hitting and were down to show us a good time.

Please do your homework. Ask questions, research what you are wanting to catch and what it takes to get that catch.

Had a fun time with Capt. Chris. Knowledgeable about fishing spots to go to. Was helpful with educating my granddaughter on how to saltwater fish. Would definitely book with Capt. Chris again.

Dramamine pills. Pack snacks and plenty of refreshments. Small towel for hands when fishing. Bring a buddy and have fun. Don’t forget cash for tipping crew at end of trip. Oh; have a blast.

Bring sun screen. be in shape for a lot of reeling n if they put ya on fish your arms and legs will be sore from the fight n legs from bracing on side of boat bring lots of water

Bring your Dramamine and sea feet if you are planning on hitting the Gulf with higher winds. It is not for the faint of heart.

I got lucky booking on the app. I got Get the gaff charters. Do your homework and pick a reputable captain even if you have to spend a little more it is worth it and TIP !!!!!

Don’t expect every day to be the best day. Make the best out of every day! Mother Nature doesn’t always cooperate and neither do the fish. Have fun and enjoy the experience.

Make sure to bring plenty of food and drinks. Tip your deck mates well! They do a lot of work to help you out before, during, and after your trip!

I would recommend they book a charter with 850 and Captain Phillip. We are very inexperienced and they absolutely CRUSHED it.

If you are looking to catch a particular species, Check for what is in season before booking your trip! We were one week out from being able to keep the red snapper

Make sure you are aware of what season is I'm. Captain didn't communicate that at the time of booking.

Be ready to move some due to Red Snapper not being in till about June. But the fish are there and a lot of them.

Let the captain know what you are trying to accomplish. They were very accommodating and really worked with us to customize the trip for our goals.

I would highly recommend trying to book The Huntress and Captain Mike Graef for a great charter boat experience. He is friendly, professional and knows how to find fish!

Now that we know the season for American Snappers is about a couple of weeks later we will time that date next time, thanks

Be patient, we never know what the weather will be. Trust your Captain they know what they are doing. It's fishing, you may land a bunch of fish, you may only get a few. Good luck fishing.

Do this it was the best time my family and I had in a while I was skeptical but once we got going it was awesome I didn’t want the trip to end. Thanks again too Captain Mitchell!!!!

Definitely be prepared for motion sickness, we wore scopolamine patches and still had some queasiness at times.

Book with Apex and Captain Scott he'll get you hooked up if the fish are ready. Layer up as the morning is chilly but by mid morning you'll be shedding layers.

Trust that your captain knows what they are doing. They know the waters better than your average tourist. They want you to have a good time and enjoy your experience.

Windy weather can be a bit tricky but the good days are great! Lots of action. Temps were perfect. Not to chilly before sun up but maybe wear a long sleever just to be sure.

Follow the instructions that Justin gives you to prepare for the time on the boat. Sunscreen, rubber-soled shoes, hat, etc. I would suggest taking something for seasickness...it happens.

The King weren’t in yet (April 1st) so not much to troll for but the reef fishing was nonstop action. Lots of triggerfish unfortunately but some nice vermillion snapper as well.

Fishing in in March is tough. Looking at the other charters that came in, they didn't have half the catch that we did. You could hear comments on the radio as well.

Do your research of the species you intend to be fishing for not only of the area but the time of year. Fishing Booker is a great resource to obtaining an incredible experience.

Big John's Captain Dennis works hard to make the trip a success. He did an excellent job of finding fish for us. This is a wonderful captain for families.I highly recommend this captain and boat.
